New home
Your case officer will compile all the documents required by the municipality and submit these to the municipality and apply for a final decision. In some cases, the municipality will want to hold a final consultation on site and walk through the house before you can get a final decision. This is mainly in cases where a building permit is required. In these cases, a project manager from Husverket, you as the developer and a building inspector from the municipality are often present. When your case officer has received the final notice from the municipality, you will be contacted and informed that you can now start using your house.
Important details to consider
- Some details fall to the developer to resolve before a final consultation on site. For example, smoke alarms, cabinets and drawer locks must be fitted and a medicine cabinet installed. A stove guard also needs to be in place. If you have chosen a stove for the house, it is also your responsibility to order an inspection of the chimney, where an approved inspection is required for a final notice to be issued.
